66th Independence Day Parade at Drobo R/C School Park

The Jaman South Municipal Assembly hosted the 66th Independence Day Parade at Drobo R/C School Park this year, under the theme " "Unity in Diversity: Honoring Our Past, Embracing Our Future"." Representatives from various Traditional Areas in the Municipality, including Member of Parliament Honorable Williams Okofo Dartey, Constituency Executives from different political parties, GNAT Officials, Assembly members, and Religious leaders, were all in attendance.
Honorable Andrews Bediako, the Municipal Chief Executive, expressed gratitude to the Traditional Leaders for their significant presence, making this year's celebration historic. He also acknowledged the participation of students from Japekrom, Dwenem, Adamsu, and Kwasibuokrom in the Parade.
Furthermore, Honorable Bediako extended appreciation to all Assembly members for their consistent support, particularly in ensuring the election of a Presiding Member, which he hailed as a demonstration of true democratic principles.
Member of Parliament, Honorable Williams Okofo Dartey, also expressed gratitude to the Traditional Leaders and all dignitaries present. He took the opportunity to urge the Traditional Leaders to uphold Ghana's cultural values, specifically urging them to oppose the controversial LGBTQ+ Bill currently under consideration by the President, as he believed it posed a threat to Ghana's cultural heritage.

There is a troublesome humor some men have, that if they may not lead, they will not follow; but had rather a thing were never done, than not done their own way, tho’ other ways very desirable.
