On the 8th of April 2025, the Jaman South Municipal Assembly confirmed Hon. Siata Watala as Municipal Chief Executive at the Municipal Assembly hall.

Hon. Siata Watala who was appointed by the president per Article 243(1) of Ghana's 1992 constitution secured 55 yes votes out of 57 Assembly members, representing 97% of the votes cast. The ceremony was supervised by the electoral commission. The newly confirmed Municipal Chief Executive was made to swear the Oath of administration, the Oath of Office, the Oath of Allegiance, and the Oath of Secrecy by the Municipal High Court judge

In her acceptance speech, Hon. Watala pledged to work with the principle of unity and open-door governance. She also hinted that during her tenure of office, she will focus on infrastructural development, sanitation, and education.
The Regional Minister, Hon. Akwaboah thanked the Assembly members and pledged government's support for the development of the Assembly
The program was massively attended by all stakeholders and it ended successfully
