The Municipality has the following departments and other Government Agencies who work together to help deliver the mandate of the Municipal Assembly.
The Municipal Planning Department consist of the Town & Country Department and Parks and Gardens and is mainly concerned with the preparation of planning schemes (layouts) for public and stool lands and the formulation of policies to direct and guide the spatial growth and physical development of Jaman South Municipality.
The Jaman South Municipal Assembly Works Department is one of the Schedule one Departments of the Municipality as established under Act 462 for the Municipal Assemblies. In order to carry out its functions, the Municipal Works Department is structured into units namely:
With the promulgation of LI 1961, the Department of Community Development and Department Of Social Welfare at the local level have now been merged to become a Department of the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies with the new name Department of Social Welfare and
The Municipality has a total road network of 200.71 km out of which 20.01 km is tarred whilst 180.70km is untarred.
DEPARTMENT OF FOOD AND AGRICULTURE; The agricultural sector contains the largest economic activities in the Municipality, employing 65.9 percent of the labour force. It is concentrated in the rural communities.
