Hon. Godfred Kwasi Kwang is a native of Katakyiekrom in the Jaman South Municipality of the Bono Region.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
He had his primary education at the Katakyiekrom R/C Primary School between 1994 and 2000. He proceeded to the Katakyiekrom D/C JHS between 2000 and 2003. He went to the Drobo Senior High School for his Secondary Education from the year 2003 to 2006. He attended the Berekum College of Education from where he obtained Diploma in Education from 2008 to 2011. He furthered to the University of Education, Winneba for his Bachelor of Education from 2013 to 2015. He is a Professional Teacher with over thirteen years work experience.
POLITICAL CAREER
Hon. Godfred Kwasi Kwang is a three term Elected Member of the Jaman South Municipal Assembly Representing the distinguished people of Katakyiekrom. He was first elected to represent the people of Katakyiekrom Electoral Area in September 2015 and has remained till date. Whilst serving as an Assembly Member, he worked with the Development Planning, Social Service and Agric Sub Committees of the Assembly respectively. He has within his tenure attended several workshops and conferences as a representative of the Jaman South Municipal Assembly where he has performed creditably well. Notable amongst them are the NALAG National Conferences in 2016 and 2019 in Sunyani and the Zoomlion’s Three Day Workshop programme organised under the auspices of the Kwame Nkruma University of Science and Technology at the AH Hotel in East Legon, Accra. He was elected the Presiding Member of the Jaman South Municipal Assembly on the 12th February 2024 with an overwhelming endorsement.
